Many of our current clients first came to us wanting to lose weight and drop body fat. Our personal trainers of course have supported our clients every step of the way with reaching this goal, from a 2 stone to a 10 stone weight loss!


However, knowing what you should do for successful weight loss that lasts, will also be KEY to understanding and maintaining it, forever.

As you may know, a healthy diet and regular exercise are both important for achieving weight loss…

Yep, we get it, diet is responsible for around 70% of a person's weight…

… However exercise is still incredibly important to help enhance your weight loss and maintain it. As well as helping with weight loss, it will enhance your mood, reduce anxiety and reduce the risk of a variety of illnesses and health conditions.

1) PRIORITISE SLEEP - When you’re short on sleep, it’s easy to lean on a large creamy latte to get moving. You might be tempted to skip exercise (too tired), get a takeaway for dinner, and then go to sleep late because you’re uncomfortably full. Many studies agree that getting enough sleep is as important to health and weight as diet and exercise! Prioritise your sleep routine!
2) FIND EXERCISE & ACTIVITY YOU ENJOY - Turning up to a gym or forcing yourself to a class that you really don’t like is not going to motivate you. It really is possible to enjoy exercise and find an activity or a personal trainer that ensures you enjoy your fitness journey will motivate you. 3) PLAN & MANAGE YOUR TIME - It sounds simple, but scheduling your workouts just like you would an important meeting or doctor's appointment will go a long way (It is your health after all!). We encourage our clients to spend one hour a week (normally Sunday) to plan: your week, when you are training, when you are resting, rough idea of food for the week… etc. Finding a routine that works for you, will ensure that your weight loss journey is sustainable.
